Mr. Gérard Bibeau took up his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Loto-Québec on November 7, 2011. To help you get better acquainted with him, here is a summary of his biographical notes.

His professional career has seen him hold a number of positions in the civil service, including that of Secretary General and Clerk for five years, as well as Secretary General for Senior Positions of the Ministère du Conseil exécutif.

He was Vice-President of Operations of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité au travail, for which he became the President and CEO, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors, in 2004.

Gérard Bibeau served as Chief of Staff for several ministers including the Minister of Revenue and the Minister of Labour and Cultural Communities, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Premier.

A lawyer by training, he has been a member of the Québec Bar Association since 1991. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration from Université Laval.

Known for his unifying leadership and warm personality, Mr. Bibeau “is part of the new generation of public administrators who combine youth and experience.”
