BECOME A SUPPLIER FOR THE UN

Learn more about its purchasing processes and its needs for Haiti

The activity will be held in English.

WHY TAKE PART:

In 2009, the UN purchased more than $3.5 billion in products and services, and, to date, over 240 Canadian companies are among the list of suppliers… You too can be on that list! Whether you have a small, medium, or large business, the United Nations’ calls for tender are open to you.

 

During this not-to-be-missed event, meet individually with buyers from the Procurement Department, and attend a seminar that will inform you about the UN's needs and purchasing processes. In addition, there will be a presentation on the supply needs for the reconstruction of Haiti.

WHO SHOULD TAKE PART?

More specifically, the UN is seeking the following products and services:

 

  • Air transportation services
  • Food products and meal services
  • Chemical and petroleum products
  • Architecture, engineering, and construction services
  • Transportation and merchandise delivery services
  • Automobiles, spare parts, and transportation equipment
  • Prefabricated buildings
  • Telecommunications equipment and services
  • Full-service leases
  • EDP equipment and maintenance services
  • Management services
  • Travel and related services
  • IT solutions
  • Building management and maintenance
  • Power plants
  • Aerodrome development
  • Cleaning and garbage disposal services

 

Please note that to become a UN supplier, your company must meet the following eligibility criteria:

 

  • You must have been in business for at least three years
  • You must hold an ISO or equivalent certification
HOW TO PARTICIPATE ?
  • To take part, you must complete two documents:

  • The UN will select companies whose offer of products or services best suits its needs.
  • The WTCM will contact all interested companies with follow-up information, on a case-by-case basis.
