QUEBEC 2010 STRATEGIC FOCUS

The activity will be held in French.

The Québec of tomorrow: brimming with knowledge and energy

As a prosperous society, Québec must have a vision and equip itself with unique means to enable its businesses and organizations to take full advantage of the opportunities for growth that are offered to them. It is in this spirit that this coming April 22, a wide cross-section of civil society will mobilize to reflect on the challenges that Québec will have to face in the coming years.

Be a part of this unique concept, developed by SECOR and carried out in partnership with the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal, with the collaboration of La Presse, the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, and the Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec.

With the theme of The Québec of tomorrow: brimming with knowledge and energy serving as a backdrop, this wide-ranging event will allow us to construct a new vision centred on three major areas for consideration, which will be presented, discussed, and analyzed:

1st area: Invigorating human capital.
2nd area: Invigorating the role and performance of government.
3rd area: Invigorating business growth and excellence.

Join the two advisory committees, made up of some forty leaders from the Québec business milieu, who will engage in a discussion to help define Québec’s economic future and stimulate our success.

Please visit http://www.focusstrategique.com/ to learn about the major issues that will be covered at this event, the three major areas for consideration, and the challenges in store for Québec.

A much-needed dialogue between two generations

April 22, 2010 will be devoted to a dialogue between two generations, the leaders of today and those of tomorrow, to come up with a consensus regarding the challenges to be met and the key priorities for Québec, but above all to offer concrete solutions and enrich the public debate.

This open and apolitical meeting will play host to several Québec personalities, including the Premier of Québec, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation, and Export Trade, who have confirmed their interest in taking part in this process of strategic thought.

This initiative is made possible through the financial support of the following organizations: the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Desjardins Group, TELUS, BCF Lawyers Patent & Trade Mark Agents, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Mandrake Vézina Lebeau recherche de cadres, and Pfizer.
