PREPARE YOUR COMPANY FOR EXPORT CONTROLS

Does the Export and Import Permits Act affect you?

The activity will be held in French and in English.

WHAT ARE EXPORT CONTROLS?

The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), in collaboration with the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and its team of international trade experts, the World Trade Centre Montreal, invites you to take part in a not-to-be-missed training activity for Canadian companies that want to export their products or that are already involved in the exporting process.

This seminar is intended for companies operating in the following sectors:

  • Defence and security
  • Nuclear
  • Aerospace and space
  • Information technology and communications
  • Chemical technology
  • Biological technology

For reasons of national security, certain products from these sectors must be subject to controls before being exported under the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA).

DFAIT's Export Controls Division and its export controls partners, such as the Controlled Goods Directorate of Public Works and Government Services Canada, the Canadian Border Services Agency, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, will provide the training and be available to meet with you.
