International trade laws and intellectual property law are predominant within the practice of Ms. Dessureault. She is also a trademark agent and acts as the director of the Intellectual Property Law Department and as the head assistant of the International Trade Laws department.Read more [+]
Having developed a solid expertise after more than 25 years as strategic counsel at the international level, she represents Canadian businesses and organizations that wish to establish themselves abroad, as well as foreign businesses and organizations that wish to establish themselves in Canada. Micheline Dessureault possesses a particular expertise in legal structures, strategic partnerships and alliances, work-force mobility, distribution and representation agreements, as well as technology and license transfers.
She is also a trademark agent and counsels her clients in this domain, in both their Canadian and international portfolios.
Her clientele consists of businesses providing both products and services, but also institutions and corporations for research enhancement and transfers in this capacity; she counsels the Réseau conseil en technologie et en innovation (CRTi) and acts as Vice-President of the Board of the Quebec Center for the Enhancement of Biotechnologies (CQVB).
