Marcel Pichette holds a diploma from the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec. He has been active in the profession, as an auditor, audit manager, and independent chartered accountant, for close to fifteen years. Since 1987, he has been a management consultant working primarily in the areas of organization, financing, recovery, and strategy development for commercial enterprises, manufacturers, and business groups. He is also the president of Amgesco, a firm offering training services, and a shareholder in a company operating a computer product distribution centre.

Marcel Pichette has touched on all areas of business, notably product marketing, negotiating commercial agreements, management of store construction, and establishing and carrying out business plans. He has owned businesses and collaborated as a shareholder in establishing a company that manufactured equipment for food chains.

He currently directs the activities of a federation of cooperatives operating in the food sector, and is working on the development and implementation of a new multiservice store concept.

Marcel Pichette is therefore no stranger to the world of business and finance. He has also prepared and led several training workshops (strategic approaches, financial management, inventory management, business financing, company diagnostics, etc.) for the Department of Industry and Commerce (today the MDEIE) and various commercial groups. His experience has given him the opportunity to sit on various committees and boards of directors for such organizations as the Société de développement industriel du Québec (now Investissement Québec) and the Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité (CQCM).

The activity will be held in French.
